Important message intended for all PhD students in nano-electronics and nanotechnology
EURO-DOTS The FP7 EURO-DOTS project (www.eurodots.org) aims at improving the offering and the quality of dedicated courses for European PhD students in the domains of nano-electronics and nanotechnology. It helps fulfilling the requirements for ECTS credits imposed to PhD students by major European universities for obtaining the Doctoral (PhD) degree in Engineering. This course is EURO-DOTS accredited

14 EURO-DOTS courses have been organized in the past year 2011.

For 2012, more than 35 advanced course modules, each with a duration of 1 week and organized by universities and institutes all over Europe, have received the EURO-DOTS accreditation label and are now welcoming PhD students. This label implies that each of these courses fulfills all the criteria imposed by the FP7 EURO-DOTS program and is accredited as a PhD course.

PhD students can select this course if it fits directly with their area of interest as a complement to courses that they can take at their home university. ECTS Credits are awarded to individual students after completion of the course and after successfully passing the exam/evaluation organized at the completion of the course. Moreover, PhD students, fulfilling the requirements, can apply for a scholarship that can cover course subscription fee, travel and accommodation costs. The calendar and detailed description of the EURO-DOTS labeled PhD courses that are open for all PhD students in Europe can be found on EURO-DOTS courses. All information dealing with the application for such a scholarship and the eligibility criteria can be found on Students >> Rules and application procedure.
