Europractice Photonics MPW runs – Pricelist 2017

General conditions

  • Accessible for universities and research institutes for non-commercial use.
    For commercial use, the institute or company can be served through Europractice but aproval from the foundry is required.
  • Prices and conditions may change at any time without prior notice.
  • Depending on run participation, or the number of submissions, the schedule can be adapted or runs may be cancelled. The price can also depend on run participation for some technologies.
  • Prices are in EURO.
  • Prices are for the delivery of unpackaged, untested prototypes.
  • Plots of the design can be ordered at 50EUR for the first plot, and 20EUR for subsequent plots.

  EU-Discounted Price applies to EUROPRACTICE registered (who paid their annual full membership fee) Academic and Research Members from all 28 EU countries and Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, Serbia and Ukraine who submit designs for educational or publicly funded research use only.
     
  Standard Price applies to universities and research institutes that don't belong to the previous category.
Companies can contact the foundry directly or can be served through Europractice but aproval from the foundry is required.
     
  Disclaimer The listed Europractice prices (EU-discounted as well as standard prices) are for fabrication of a set of prototype samples of customer’s designs (GDS) on MPW runs in standard SiPhotonics technologies. For any change in technology (options, process tuning, …) or extra samples/wafers, dedicated mask sets and engineering runs, customers need to request a dedicated quote. Registering a design (for regular blocks) implies the user agrees with the price for "Minimum total area of 2 regular full blocks".
When the foundry receives registrations, in total equivalent in area to 5 or more regular full blocks, a price reduction will be applied for all users of regular blocks. In this case the price “Minimum total area of 5 regular full blocks” will be valid.
MiniPhotonics users get a lower but fixed price and do not benefit from the price reduction in case of “Minimum total area of 5 regular full blocks".

Die Size miniPhotonic "?" What is miniPhotonics?
MiniPhotonic prototypes are not individually diced. This means for this LETI technology: one miniblock is one fourth of a regular full block which is not subdiced. Similar, two miniblocks are half of an undiced full block, 3 miniblocks are three quarters.
The purpose is lower the financial treshold for academic users to prototype in this technology.
The consequence is that the users mutually expose their design. MiniPhotonics participation therefore implies that the users allow visibility of their designs and devices to other miniPhotonics users, and simultaneously agree not to characterize and/or study devices not designed by themselves.

A separate miniPhotonics confidentiality waiver will be asked to sign.
MiniPhotonics is only available to academic institutes.
