ASICentrum is an IC design company located in Prague, Czech Republic. Established in 1992, ASICentrum emerged as a continuation to the late Microelectronics Division of the state-funded Research Institute, TESLA VUST Praha. In 2001, 51% of ASICentrum has been acquired by EM Microelectronic, a Swiss based IC producer and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swatch Group. Since 1996, ASICentrum is also the software distributor of Mentor Graphics, an international EDA company, for the Czech and Slovak Republics.

ASICentrum participated in the development of a wide variety of ICs in the fields of Telecommunications, Industrial Applications as well as Consumer Electronics.

Thanks to the connection to the parent company EM Microelectronic ASICentrum has acquired new skills in the Low Power, Low Voltage area, which opened doors to new design opportunities in the areas of RFID circuits, Ultra-Low power Microcontrollers, LCD Drivers, Real Time Clock devices and Low Power, Low Voltage, Non-Volatile Memory Mixed Signal ASICs.
