For TSMC technologies, EUROPRACTICE
can offer you access to technology information, design rules, spice decks,
libraries, etc.
The procedure to
get access to the TSMC technology information is as follows
European
Universities and research institutes, having paid the annual full Europractice
membership
They can get access to
TSMC 0.25um, 0.18um, 0.13um, 90nm, 65nm and 40nm technologies. The procedure to
get access is
:
- For
0.25um, 0.18um, 0.13um and 90nm technology :
complete the 025_018_013_90_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This has only to be
signed once for these 4 technologies. This form has to be signed by a
person authorized to sign in the name of the institute. The persons having
access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.
- For
the 65nm technology : complete the 65_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This form has
to be signed by a person authorized to sign in the name of the institute.
The persons having access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.
- For 40nm technology :
- First complete
the 40nm-request form and email it to mpc@imec.be
- After approval
of TSMC, received through IMEC : complete the 40_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This form has to
be signed by a person authorized to sign in the name of the institute.
The persons having access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.
Non-European
Universities and research institutes
They
can get access to TSMC 0.25um, 0.18um, 0.13um, 90nm, 65nm and 40nm technologies
The procedure to get access is :
- First
complete the request
form and email it to mpc@imec.be, this has to be done for
each of the TSMC technologies you want to access
- After
approval by TSMC, received through IMEC
- For 0.25um, 0.18um, 0.13um and 90nm technology :
complete the 025_018_013_90_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This has only
to be signed once for these 4 technologies. This form has to be signed by
a person authorized to sign in the name of the institute. The persons
having access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.
- For the 65nm technology :
complete the 65_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This form has
to be signed by a person authorized to sign in the name of the institute.
The persons having access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.
- For 40nm
technology :
- First complete
the 40nm-request form
and email it to mpc@imec.be
- After approval
of TSMC, received through IMEC : complete the 40_TSMC-IMEC-customer
agreement in 2 copies, sign and send them to IMEC. This form has to
be signed by a person authorized to sign in the name of the institute.
The persons having access need to sign the Confidentiality statement.

When IMEC receives the signed agreements, IMEC will give you a password to
download to the technology information from EUROPRACTICE-online web platform.
Companies
Companies can get access to 0.25um, 0.18, 0.13um, 90nm, 65nm and 40nm TSMC technologies
(approval by TSMC required). Companies wishing to get access to prototyping and
initial volume fabrication can ask access by dropping an email to das@imec.be. After
approval by TSMC, you will be asked to sign a 3-way NDA (TSMC-IMEC-customer) to
get access to TSMC information.
